Islamabad - Kohsar police have recovered two vehicles with same registration number, allegedly in the ownership of a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf member of National Assembly, from her restaurant Khiva Catering on Margalla Road, F-6/3, police sources said yesterday.
According to the FIR (552) registered at the police station yesterday, police were informed last afternoon by some person that two cars of the same number were parked in front of house # 64, F-6/3. The police visited the spot and found Toyota (Prius white colour) and Toyota (Avanza silver colour), both bearing registration number RV-303-ICT. The drivers of the cars were identified as Muhammad Irfan son of Abdur Rehman resident of Tehsil Jand, district Attock, and Muhammad Ilyas, son of Waliur Rehman, of Balakot, Mansehra. Upon investigation, the number plate of Toyota (Avanza) was found fake. Police have booked Muhammad Ilyas under section 420, 468 of the PPC.
Sources in the police said that both the vehicles belonged to PTI MNA Nafeesa Khattak. The vehicles were recovered from her restaurant on Margalla Road. However, the police did not nominate the MNA in the FIR.
The cell phone of the MNA was found off when The Nation tried to reach out her for comments. However, police said that she had told police that all this happened due to some misunderstanding. Interestingly, Nafeesa Khattak is running her restaurant in the same house where she is residing. Although the Capital Development Authority’s operation for eradication of nonconforming use of residential buildings in the city continues and scores of houses are being sealed on every second day, yet Khattak’s illegal use of house goes unchecked.
