متعدد ہلاک شدگان کی نمازِ جنازہ جمعے کی شب ہی ادا کر دی گئی تھیں
پاکستان کے صوبہ خیبر پختونخوا کے دارالحکومت پشاور میں جمعے ہو ہونے والے خودکش دھماکوں میں ہلاک ہونے والوں کی تعداد 22 تک پہنچ گئی ہے جبکہ ان حملوں کا مقدمہ تحریکِ طالبان پاکستان کے رہنما امیر عمر نرے کے خلاف درج کر لیا گیا ہے۔
یہ تین خودکش دھماکے حیات آباد میں واقع امامیہ مسجد میں جمعے کی دوپہر اس وقت ہوئے تھے جب وہاں بڑی تعداد میں لوگ نماز کے لیے جمع تھے۔
پشاور کے حیات آباد میڈیکل کمپیلیکس کی انتظامیہ نے بی بی سی اردو کو بتایا کہ جمعے کو ان حملوں میں 20 افراد کی ہلاکت کے بعد سنیچر کو 19 سالہ لڑکے سمیت مزید دو زخمی چل بسے۔
انتظامیہ کے اہلکار کے مطابق اس وقت ہسپتال میں 49 زخمی زیرِ علاج ہیں جن میں سے تین کی حالت تشویشناک ہے۔
ادھر پشاور پولیس کے شعبۂ انسدادِ دہشت گردی نے حیات آباد تھانے کے ایس ایچ او کی مدعیت میں تحریکِ طالبان پاکستان کے طارق گیدڑ گروپ کے سربراہ عمر نرے کے خلاف ان حملوں کا مقدمہ درج کیا ہے۔
ایک حملہ آور نے خود کو مسجد کے برآمدے میں دھماکے سے اڑایا جبکہ ایک حملہ آور کی باقیات مسجد کے ہال سے ملی ہیں۔
سی ٹی ڈی تھانے کے محرر قاسم خان نے بی بی سی کو بتایا کہ طالبان رہنما کے خلاف انسدادِ دہشت گردی ایکٹ کی دفعہ سات اور تعزیراتِ پاکستان کی دفعہ 302 کے تحت مقدمہ درج کیا گیا ہے۔
خیال رہے کہ اس حملے کی ذمہ داری پاکستانی طالبان نے قبول کی تھی اور ایک بیان میں کہا ہے کہ یہ ڈاکٹر عثمان کی پھانسی کا بدلہ ہے۔
طالبان کی جانب سے اس کارروائی میں حصہ لینے والے شدت پسندوں کی تصویر بھی جاری کی گئی تھی جس میں انھیں عمر نرے کے ہمراہ دکھایا گیا تھا۔
آئی ایس پی آر کے ترجمان نے چند روز قبل ایک پریس کانفرنس میں بتایا تھا کہ عمر امیر عرف نرے اس وقت افغانستان میں روپوش ہے۔ یہ کمانڈر آرمی پبلک سکول حملے میں بھی ملوث تھا۔

حیات آباد میں خودکش بم دھماکوں کے بعد خیبر پختونخوا کے آئی جی پولیس ناصر درانی نے بیان دیا تھا کہ حملہ آوروں کی تعداد تین سے چار تھی جو امام بارگاہ کے باہر لگی باڑ کاٹ کر اور دیوار پھاند کر آئے۔
حملہ آوروں نے مسجد میں داخل ہونے سے پہلے آرمی پبلک سکول پر حملے کی طرز پر پہلے اپنی گاڑی کو آگ بھی لگائی تھی۔
آئی جی پولیس کا کہنا تھا کہ ایک حملہ آور نے خود کو مسجد کے برآمدے میں دھماکے سے اڑایا جبکہ ایک حملہ آور کی باقیات مسجد کے ہال سے ملی ہیں۔
خیال رہے کہ یہ رواں برس شیعہ مسلک کی مساجد کو نمازِ جمعہ کے موقع پر نشانہ بنائے جانے کا دوسرا واقعہ ہے۔
اس سے قبل صوبہ سندھ کے شہر شکار پور میں کربلائے معلّیٰ نامی امام بارگاہ میں دھماکے سے 60 سے زیادہ افراد مارے گئے تھے۔
PESHAWAR/Gilgit - Seven students were among 11 people killed and 11 others injured in a bomb blast on a passenger van and a gunbattle between the security forces and militants in two Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cities on Thursday. Separately, at least three people including two women were killed when an explosion ripped through a passenger van in Gilgit. The first bomb blast took place inside a passenger van on Kohat Road in Bazid Khel area of Peshawar district. Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations) Najeebur Rehman said that the bomb was planted in a water cooler which was placed beneath a passenger seat, while the bus was en route to the town of Hangu. “At least seven people have been killed, the bomb was planted under a seat,” senior police official Najeebur Rehman told AFP. The motive of the attack was yet not clear but police said they suspected a sectarian motive in a region known for Sunni-Shia violence. Shahid-ur-Rehman, the injured driver of the bus, said the bomb was planted by a young man. “A young man, carrying a travel bag boarded the bus... and reserved two more seats telling us two women will join him at the next stop. At next stop he disembarked from the bus and there was a blast a few minutes later,” Rehman told AFP. Media spokesperson of Lady Reading Hospital Jamil Shah confirmed the death of seven persons in the blast. As many as 20 passengers were travelling in the van when the blast took place. Security forces reached the spot and cordoned off the area. Hospital sources said that two of the injured were critical. Additional Inspector General (AIG) bomb disposal squad Shafqat Malik said that five kilograms of explosive was used in the blast. “In the last 24 hours a bomb disposal squad has detonated six bombs in various localities of Peshawar,” Shafqat Malik, a senior police officer, told reporters at the site of the blast. “This is the seventh which went off and 5kg of explosives were used in the bomb.” In another incident, unknown gunmen opened indiscriminate fire on a police party on the outskirts of Yakatot area of Peshawar, killing a sub-inspector. Police retaliated and arrested the attackers. Police said that a minor girl also sustained injuries during the exchange of fire. In a separate incident, at least four militants were killed and four others arrested in a clash with security forces in Jani Khel area of Bannu district. Militants attacked security forces during search operations in Wali Noor Jani Khel area of the restive Bannu. According to reports, a key Taliban commander was also among the arrested militants. Curfew was imposed during house-to-house search operation by the forces. In another incident, at least three people including two women were killed and nine others injured when a roadside bomb hit a passenger van near Gilgit Thursday. “The incident occurred near Haramosh village on Gilgit-Skardu Road (around 30 miles south of Gilgit) when a passenger van was hit by a roadside bomb blast,” Zain Muhammad, a police official in Gilgit, told AFP. He said the injured included five women, two men and three children, adding that all the passengers were Shias. “It’s a sectarian attack, the passenger van was going to Haramosh which is a completely Shia-populated valley,” he said. Muhammad Ali Zia, another senior police official, confirmed the incident. “It was a roadside bomb blast, but we are yet trying to confirm whether it was blown up with a timer device or remote-controlled device,” he told AFP. A senior official of the Gilgit-Baltistan home department said the federal interior ministry had issued an alert to the Gilgit-Baltistan government last week warning of a possible sectarian attack. “The interior ministry letter said Shia community might be targeted on the Karakorum Highway (KKH) in reaction to the killing of a Sunni cleric in Rawalpindi recently,” he told AFP, requesting not to be named. Gilgit-Baltistan region is relatively peaceful and bomb blasts are rare, but gunmen killed nine foreign tourists including their Pakistani guide on the base camp of Nanga Parbat in June last year. Shia passengers travelling on the Karakorum Highway (KKH) have come under attack from extremist groups. In August 2012, armed men wearing military uniforms had stopped buses on the KKH killing 25 Shia passengers, after identifying them from their identity cards. Another 18 Shia passengers were killed in the same manner that year.

Terrorists know exactly where to strike, where it hurts the most and how the narrative of terror seeps into the fabric of society. Unfortunately, the state’s priorities of protection lie elsewhere. While schools have been routinely razed to the ground by militants in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) and Fata, the authorities have done little to alter this state of affairs.The hand grenade attack on a school in Shabqadar, Charsadda, which killed a schoolteacher and injured two students on October 1, is the latest such tragedy to occur.
The threat to educational institutionsin K-P and Fata is all too imminent now. This is not the first such incident and judging from the response of the authorities, it does not seem to be the last one either. Several schools in conflict-ridden areas are threatened by armed militants, who only know how to reinforce their ideology through brute force and violence. While Shabqadar is close to the Mohmand tribal belt, the situation in Peshawar has been no different. There have been incidents where schools have had to pay extortionists to keep the threat at bay. An estimated2.5 million children are out of school in K-P, with more than 2,000 schools being dysfunctional because of the precarious law and order situation, among other contributing factors. The tribal belt is another story altogether; here, hundreds of thousands people are faced with a battle of survival, so acquiring an education is a far-fetched dream for them.
The outrage surrounding the Shabqadar incident will soon subside until another such incident takes place, but the psychological scars being inflicted upon our younger generation will not heal easily. We are told that the school will reopen soon, but needless to say, many children will drop out, as there will be parents who will think twice before sending them to the same school. One wonders if the authorities will set aside their seeming apathy and finally take some concrete measures to secure the future of our children. We will have no one to blame but ourselves if nothing is done to alter this state of affairs.

PESHAWAR: At least seven people died and 11 others were injured in a blast at displaced persons' camp in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Tog Sarai area of Hangu.
The injured were immediately taken to a hospital for treatment.
Police sources said Sunday the bomb explosion occurred inside Mohammad Khawaja IDPs camp bazaar where the tribesmen from Orakzai Agency were residing.
They added that the nature of the bomb explosion is yet to be ascertained. However, security personnel were immediately sent to the site.
Hangu, racked by sectarian violence, had been on the frontline of aseven-year-long Taliban insurgencyborders the semi-autonomous Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata).
It also borders the northwestern tribal region of Orakzai, one of Pakistan's sevenlawless districts on the Afghan borderconsidered to be the hub of Taliban and Al Qaeda-linked militants.

Twenty-one people were killed and 90 others, including women and
children, sustained injuries in bomb attacks in Peshawar and Quetta on
Friday.
Eleven persons were killed and around 50
others injured when a suicide bomber targeted an armoured personnel
carrier (APC) of the police in the Batathal Bazaar near the boundary
with Bara subdivision of Khyber Agency on Friday.
“A
suicide bomber attacked a police APC when it was patrolling the area,”
Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations) Najibur Rahman told The
News.The APC of the Sarband Police Station was damaged in the attack and
the cops inside the vehicle sustained only slight injuries. They were
taken to hospital for treatment.
Najibur Rahman said the
cops were the target of the bomber as the militants wanted to weaken the
police force in the area.“The force has a huge presence in the area to
stop the attacks on the city from the tribal areas,” he said, adding
that a few policemen were wounded in the blast.
According
to Rescue 1122 officials, 11 persons were killed in the attack and 50
sustained injuries. “Eight bodies and 24 wounded persons were taken to
the Lady Reading Hospital. Three bodies and 27 injured people were taken
to the Hayatabad Medical Complex,” Bilal Ahmad Faizi, the spokesman for
the Rescue 1122, told The News.
Some of the dead were
identified as Farman, Jamil, Naseem, Abdur Raheem, Habibullah, Mehnat
Bibi, Asad, Gulnara, Waheedullah and an unidentified person.Officials
said Sub-Inspector Bukhari Shah, who has been leading the operations
against the militants in the area for the last several years, was the
target of the bomber. He had sustained injuries in a previous attack on
him. At least two attempts on his life were made in the past. He
remained unharmed in the Friday’s attack.
Emergency was
declared at the city hospitals after the explosion. Many women and
children were among those injured in the explosion that ripped through
the crowded bazaar. More than 10 vehicles and almost a dozen shops and
cabins, a nearby gas station and several pushcarts were also damaged in
the explosion.
The injured included Kamran, Fazal Rehman,
Haji Muhammad Ashraf, Shafiullah, Naseeb Gul, Habibur Rehman, Shafiq,
Rizwan, Muzammil, Hazrat Ali, Mehrunnisa, Darwaish, Sadiqullah, Momin,
Atif, Gulzar, Fatima, Mira Jana, Salman, Seema, Naseeb, Arshad, Shan
Zeb, Asmatullah and Abdul Amin.
Police, along with the
Frontier Constabulary, have established a number of checkposts on the
boundary with the Khyber Agency to stop the militant attacks on the
provincial capital. Most of the routes connecting the tribal area with
Peshawar are properly patrolled.
However, attackers still
manage to find their way to carry out attacks in the areas close to the
boundary between the tribal and settled areas as well as other parts of
the provincial metropolis. Thousands of people have already left the
area following the frequent bombings and other attacks during the last
many years.
Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak announced
compensation for all the victims of the suicide explosion. Under the
package, heirs of the dead will be paid Rs0.5 million each while the
injured will be given Rs0.2 million. Similarly, the injured police
Jawans will also be paid compensation under the police package.
The
chief minister ordered immediate release of the compensation to all
victims and also asked the district administration and police to conduct
separate inquiries for bringing to justice the terrorists involved in
the incident as soon as possible.
Condemning the incident,
the chief minister said the purpose of this terrorist attack was to
create a sense of insecurity among the citizens and demoralise the
security forces. He said that after the beginning of peace negotiations
and announcement of ceasefire by the Taliban, the real faces of
anti-state elements was clearly revealed in such cruel acts of
terrorism, which would be dealt with sternly.
In Quetta, a
powerful bomb blast killed 10 people, including two children, and
injured 40 others on the Jinnah Road.The bomb exploded near the
Government Science College when people were busy in routine activities.
The
bomb was fixed to a bicycle which had been parked on the main road. As
soon as a patrolling team of the Frontier Corps (FC) crossed the site at
around 3:00pm, the explosion took place. At that time a passenger bus
was also passing through the area which came under attack. Over 40
people were travelling in the bus when the explosion took place,
eyewitnesses said.
“It was a time device which was tied to
a bicycle,” said officials of the bomb disposal squad. Human body parts
were scattered all over the place while the injured were crying with
pain.Official and Edhi Foundation’s ambulances rushed to the spot and
started shifting the victims of the explosion to the Civil Hospital for
treatment. Emergency was declared in all the hospitals of Quetta. The
condition of some of the injured was stated to be critical.
Police
and FC personnel reached the spot and cordoned off the area as
officials of the bomb disposal squad (BDS) examined the type of
explosive material used. The BDS officials said four to five kilogrammes
of explosives were used in the blast.
One passenger bus,
three auto rickshaws and one motorcycle were damaged badly in the
explosion, while windowpanes of nearby buildings were also smashed.SSP
Quetta Muhammad Jaffar said police and law enforcement agencies were
investigating the incident.
“The attack was an attempt to
target the FC patrolling team,” officials said. Balochistan Governor
Muhammad Khan Achakzai and Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch
expressed deep grief over the Jinnah Road blast. They strongly condemned
the explosion and directed to apprehend those involved in the blast.
Our Kohat correspondent adds: A militant group Ahrarul Hind claimed responsibility for the blasts in Peshawar and Quetta.
Talking
to The News from an undisclosed location by phone, Umar Qasim,
declaring himself as the leader of Ahrarul Hind, said that they had
carried out the attacks on the police in Peshawar and Quetta.
Agencies add: President Mamnoon Hussain condemned the terrorist attacks in Peshawar and Quetta which killed innocent people.
The
president prayed early recovery of the injured. He also prayed for
courage to the bereaved families to bear the loss with equanimity.The
Quaid-e-Millat Jafariya, Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi, also
condemned the attacks and demanded strict action against the terrorists.

سکتا ہے لیکن بم ڈسپوزل اسکواڈ کے عہدیداروں کا کہنا ہے کہ حقائق جاننے کے
لیے جائے حادثہ سے شواہد اکٹھے کیے جا رہے ہیں۔
ابتدائی اطلاعات کے مطابق جس ہوٹل کے قریب دھماکا ہوا وہاں شیعہ برادری سے
تعلق رکھنے والے افراد رات کا کھانا کھانے آتے تھے، جب کہ کرم ایجنسی سے
آنے والے شیعہ برادری کے لوگ بھی اس ہوٹل میں قیام کرتے تھے۔
جب دھماکا ہوا تو اس وقت کوچہ رسالدار میں کافی رش تھا اور عینی شاہدین کے مطابق قریب ہی ایک امام بارگاہ بھی واقع ہے۔
دھماکے سے علاقے میں شدید خوف و ہراس پھیل گیاجب کہ علاقے کی بجلی بھی منقطع ہو گئی۔

جعفریہ کے ایک مقامی رہنما علی اصغر کو گولیاں مار کر ہلاک کر دیا تھا۔
گزشتہ اتوار کو اسی علاقے میں ایک سینما گھر میں دستی بم پھینکے گئے جس سے کم از کم چار افراد ہلاک ہو گئے تھے۔

PESHAWAR: A blast in Peshawar killed three people including a woman and two children, Express News reported on Monday.
The blast, which took place at a house, left another child injured. The child was taken to a local hospital for medical assistance.
The Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) reached the blast site and initial investigation revealed that explosives were planted inside the house. Previous blasts
The city is not unknown to explosions and has been a victim of several blasts these last few months.
On December 16, a remote-controlled blast on Sheikh Muhammadi Road in Peshawar had killed four Bomb Disposal Unit personnel and seriously injured another person.
Two people including a police officer were injured, on November 16, in a roadside blast on Kohat Road in Peshawar. The blast had taken place near a police mobile which was on its routine patrol. According to BDS, four to five kilogrammes of explosives were used in the blast.
On November 13, an Army convoy had escaped unhurt in a remote controlled road side bomb blast on Ring Road in Peshawar. The convoy was on its way from Hayatabad to Kohat Road. The explosion, however, had occurred when the convoy had passed and there was no damage or loss of life in the attack. The BDS had inspected the site of the explosion and said that it was a home-made low intensity device of around one kilogram.

پشاور: قصہ خوانی بازار دھماکے کے جاں بحق افراد میں ایک ہی خاندان کے 18 افراد بھی شامل ہیں۔
پشاور کے قصہ خوانی بازار میں خان رازق شہید پولیس اسٹیشن کے سامنے ہونے والے بم دھماکے میں 40 افراد جاں بحق ہوئے جن میں 18 کا تعلق ایک ہی خاندان سے ہے، چارسدہ کے علاقے شبقدر سے تعلق رکھنے والا یہ بدقسمت خاندان اپنے عزیزوں کو شادی کی دعوت دینے کے لئے پشاور میں آیا تھا لیکن انہیں کیا پتہ تھا کہ پشاور میں انہیں خوشیوں کے بجائے جنازوں کا تحفہ ملے گا۔
دھماکے کے وقت بدقسمتی سے یہ خاندان اسی جگہ خریداری میں مصروف تھا جسے دہشتگردوں نے اپنی بربریت کا نشانہ بنانے کا منصوبہ بنایا تھا، یہ بدقسمت خاندان اپنے کڑیل جوان کندھوں کے علاوہ 6 بچوں اور 2 خواتین سے بھی ہمیشہ کے لئے محروم ہوگیا۔
واضح رہے کہ گزشتہ 8 روز میں پشاور کے مختلف علکاقوں میں ہونے والے بم دھماکوں میں 130 افراد جاں بحق ہوگئے ہیں جن میں خواتین اور بچے بھی شامل ہیں۔
