Imran wants to spread anarchy: French TV


ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's Chairman Imran Khan wants to spread anarchy in Pakistan, France's Euronews has reported.

The multilingual news television channel headquartered in Lyon-Ecully, France, in its report said despite the fresh bloodshed, imran’s campaign was due to continue – culminating in moves to ‘close’ the whole of Pakistan later this month.

The French television channel said that the anti-government protest in Pakistan turned deadly as supporters of PTI chief Imran Khan clashed with security forces and workers of the Pakistan Muslim League-N. The report quoted the statement of the information minister saying that Imran’s plan was to henceforth spread anarchy in Pakistan.

At least one person was killed and several others injured in the eastern city of Faisalabad. The report mentioned that the deadly unrest had already marked Imran’s earlier protests in Islamabad. It said that Imran Khan called for the protest, saying that this move was the first in a series targeting Pakistan's big cities, after months of demonstrations in Islamabad.

Imran’s party, which maintains that the elections in 2013 were marred by fraud, has called for the prime minister's resignation.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi would be justified in conferring India’s highest civilian award, the Bharat Ratna, on Imran Khan. Last Sunday at the PTI rally in Islamabad Imran threatened to shut down Lahore on December 4, Faisalabad on December 8, Karachi on December 12, and, finally all of Pakistan by December 16 if his demands were not met.

The Bharat Ratna was instituted in 1954, and, in the 60 years since then it has been conferred on only two foreigners – Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan (1890-1988) in 1987 and Nelson Mandela (1918-2013) in 1990. Mother Teresa (1910-1997) also received the honour in 1980 but she had become a naturalised citizen of India. However, Imran Khan stands out in a category by himself in promoting India’s national security and foreign policy priorities.

His container-top rhetorical outburst in Islamabad on November 30 was one of the many outlandish statements that Imran is in the habit of making. The next day the vice chairman of the PTI, former foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, told the media that the Lahore event had been postponed to December 15 and countrywide demonstrations would now be held on December 18.

He was also at pains to explain that by ‘shut down’ Imran Khan had never meant that the major cities and the entire country would come to a grinding halt. What had been planned were massive rallies on the thoroughfares of important urban centres and business transactions would not be disrupted. 

In the rough and tumble of politics, leaders sometimes say and do absurd things. Shah Mahmood Qureshi is particularly adept in making notoriously inaccurate statements. His claim that commercial life will not be interrupted by the huge PTI demonstrations in the major cities of Pakistan defies logic. But Qureshi has always been a dreamer and his imagination often runs riot because of his inability to think things through rationally. 

Subsequently, he told the media on Tuesday that the PTI could consider postponing the launch of countrywide protests if the government agreed to resume the stalled negotiations on his party’s demands. Though this has been readily conceded it is far from certain what the eventual outcome will be. 

Imran Khan has probably realised that he was carried away by his own rhetoric. He has admittedly galvanised massive public support as was evident from the unprecedented turnout at the rally in Islamabad. But it is just not possible for the PTI alone to paralyse the entire country, or, for that matter even the major cities. Imran has bitten off more than he can possibly chew, and this is what has prompted the offer of negotiations with the government.

Politics is a game of snakes and ladders where the main players are serpents. The Pakistani variety is particularly deadly and will go to any extent to reach the top even if this implies damaging national interests and disgracing the country before foreigners.

Last week Imran Khan proudly told thousands of his supporters: “I made it clear to the Chinese ambassador that we have no objection to Chinese companies doing business here, but we want to make sure that the Sharif family doesn’t have any personal stakes in these businesses – that’s simply not acceptable.” 

But the PTI leader is not the only politician to have stooped so low as to malign his own government before an envoy of a country that has taken a decision to invest heavily in Pakistan. The sense of national pride and self-respect often falls by the wayside in the frenzied race for power. 

Thus barely three years back at the height of the Memogate affair, then prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani told a correspondent of the Peoples’ Daily of China that the former COAS General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani and the director general of the ISI at the time, Lt Gen Ahmed Shuja Pasha, had violated the constitution and had acted illegally by submitting affidavits to the Supreme Court on the scandal without the approval of the government.

This is probably without parallel as never before has any sitting prime minister gone to the extent of vilifying his own army chief and head of intelligence in an interview to foreign correspondent. Even worse, the accusations were made at a time when General Kayani was on an official visit to Beijing and had been received by the Chinese premier. 

The shame and embarrassment that had been caused to the country was of little consequence to the prime minister who justified his disgraceful comments by claiming that the interview had taken place after the COAS’ return to Pakistan. 

Three times prime minister, Nawaz Sharif has been even more indiscreet in his dealings with foreign correspondents. In an interview to Kim Barker, the Chicago Tribune’s South Asia bureau chief from 2004 to 2009, he disclosed that Ajmal Kasab, the only terrorist involved in the Mumbai attacks to be captured alive was from Faridkot, a small town in the Okara district. In her 2011 book, The Taliban Shuffle, Barker writes: “For us, this was big news – a senior Pakistani confirming what the government had publicly denied: The attackers were from Pakistan.”

At other places the author succumbs to journalistic sensationalism. For instance Barker claims that during one of her several meetings with Nawaz Sharif, he said: “I’m fat and I’m old. But I would still like to be your friend.” In February this year there were reports in the international media that the book will be adapted as a feature film, and on June 30 Paramount Pictures announced that it had short-listed directors. 

The Wikileaks cables show that Maulana Fazlur Rehman approached US Ambassador Anne Patterson, who was accredited to Pakistan from 2007 to 2010, and sought her help in becoming prime minister. In return he promised to promote American interests in the country. 

The crooning leader of the MQM, Altaf Hussain, who provides frequent entertainment through his speeches from far away London, went to the extent of writing to the British prime minister on September 23, 2001 urging the dissolution of the ISI. The letter, which was delivered to 10 Downing Street by Nirj Deva currently a member of the European parliament for Southeast England, reads: “The ISI secret agency must be disbanded otherwise it will continue to produce many Osama bin Ladens and Talibans in (the) future.”

Such is the depressingly low integrity of those who arrogate to themselves the role of leaders. Despite their claims, none of them are capable of transforming the country. Even then, Imran Khan emerges as the best out of a bad lot but the problem is that he has an undergraduate mentality. 

If the PTI leader really wants to establish a ‘new Pakistan,’ he will first have to change himself. This has to be followed by rectifying the fundamental flaw in the 18th Amendment by instituting constitutional checks and balances in the powers of the president and the prime minister. Without this there cannot be any real transformation of the country.

Imran Khan’s plan to shut down Pakistan is crass stupidity. He and the leaders of the other political parties have failed the country in the past. But is there any genuine remorse for the bleeding wounds they have inflicted on the nation? Have they reformed? Or is a new force, yet incipient, emerging that can put the country back on the track of political, economic and social equilibrium?

In the last seven years there has been significant change inasmuch as an independent judiciary has been restored. The massive popular outpouring prompted by Pervez Musharraf’s March 9, 2007 presidential reference against the former chief justice, Iftikhar Chaudhry, led to the latter’s reinstatement on July 20. The political parties were mere bystanders in the countrywide lawyer-led upsurge. 

This was the first sign of a spontaneous wakening of civil society from its slumber and could have been harnessed into a popular political force. But the opportunity was squandered. Can Imran Khan reignite such a movement? Till now he has only said and done silly things. Will he change? Or is this only a forlorn hope?

What else should one expect from the gutter politics of the container which is more a cesspool of ‘Vice’ than a fountain of reform; where every evening predators are on the prowl looking for easy and innocent prey, where the chief political advisor of the chief reformer also happens to be the chief of the gutter tribe of politics, where the chief communication tool of the chief reformer is ‘Oye, ’and where the chief reformer’s chief spokesperson’s lineage is described by one of her ancestors (Sardar Sher Baz Mazari) in his book titled ‘A Journey to Disillusionment’ Page 151 quote Ashiq Mazari had by now become a habitual opponent of the Mazari chief family. The fault was not all his. Due to reasons of his birth his close family members had refused to acknowledge him and had even tried to deny him his inheritance unquote.

بدھ کو انسداد دہشت گردی کی عدالت کے جج کوثر عباس زیدی نے سیکرٹریٹ پولیس اسلام آباد کی جانب سے درج مقدمے کی سماعت کی۔ پولیس نے سرکاری اداروں پر حملوں میں ملوث ملزمان کی گرفتاری کے لئے وارنٹ جاری کرنے کی استدعا کی تھی

کراچی ۔۔۔ اسلام آباد کی ایک انسداد دہشت گردی کی عدالت نے پارلیمنٹ ہاوٴس اور پاکستان ٹیلی ویژن کے ہیڈ آفس پر حملے کے الزام میں پاکستان تحریک انصاف اور پاکستان عوامی تحریک کے سربراہوں عمران خان اور ڈاکٹر طاہر القادری سمیت متعدد رہنماوٴں کے ناقابل ضمانت وارنٹ گرفتاری جاری کر دئیے ہیں۔
بدھ کو انسداد دہشت گردی کی عدالت کے جج کوثر عباس زیدی نے سیکرٹریٹ پولیس اسلام آباد کی جانب سے درج مقدمے کی سماعت کی۔
مقدمے میں پولیس نے سرکاری اداروں پر حملوں میں ملوث ملزمان کی گرفتاری کے لئے وارنٹ جاری کرنے کی استدعا کی تھی، جس پر عدالت کے جج کوثر عباس زیدی نے ناقابل ضمانت وارنٹ گرفتاری جاری کئے۔
عمران خان اور ڈاکٹر طاہر القادری کے علاوہ جن دیگر ملزمان کے وارنٹ جاری ہوئے ہیں ان میں خیبر پختونخوا کے وزیر اعلیٰ پرویز خٹک، شاہ محمود قریشی، شیخ رشید، سیف اللہ نیازی، عامر مغل، اسد عمر اور ڈاکٹر رحیق عباسی شامل ہیں۔
مذکورہ ملزمان پر پارلیمنٹ کی دیوار توڑ کر حملہ کرنے، پاکستان ٹیلی ویژن کی عمارت میں گھسنے، روکے جانے پر پولیس کو نشانہ بنانے اور دہشت گردی سمیت دیگر الزامات شامل ہیں۔
یہ حملے پاکستان تحریک انصاف اور پاکستان عوامی تحریک کی جانب سے  14 اگست سے شروع ہونے والے دھرنوں کے دوران اس وقت ہوئے جب دھرنے کے شرکاٴ ستمبر میں شاہراہ دستور کی جانب بڑھنے کی کوشش کے دوران کئے گئے۔
پی ٹی وی پر حملے کے دوران درجنوں مشتعل مظاہرین سیکورٹی توڑتے ہوئے پی ٹی وی کی عمارت میں داخل ہوئے جس سے ٹی وی کی نشریات معطل ہوگئی تھیں ۔ اس دوران، توڑ پھوڑ کے واقعات بھی ہوئے۔ تاہم، بعد میں قانون نافذ کرنے والے اداروں نے موقع پر پہنچ کر صورتحال پر قابو پایا اور مظاہرین کو عمارت سے باہر نکالا۔

BEIJING- Chinese officials in Pakistan had contacted Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf leaders five times to convince them to end protest sit-in for the visit of the Chinese President Xi Jinping in September, Chinese sources privy to the contacts here have said.
President’s Xi, who was scheduled to visit Islamabad in mid-September, had to postpone the visit over the sit-ins by the PTI and Pakistan Awami Tehrik. 
The Chinese diplomats had also contacted Shaikh Rashid of the All Pakistan Muslim League and the PML-Q leaders to help in paving the way for the “very important visit” of the Chinese President; however, all these efforts met with a failure, the sources told media persons who accompanied a Pakistani parliamentary delegation.
He said the PTI and leaders of the other protesting parties had assured support; however, there had been no change in the political stalemate. "The situation turned worst when the protesters forced their way into the Red Zone as the move coincided with the landing of a Chinese advance team in Islamabad.
“We could not even go to the airport to receive our advance team due to closure of the roads and security situation in Islamabad. We succeeded to bring the advance team from the airport in a helicopter offered by Prime Minister’s office,” the sources said.
They said the visit was very much on the cards and the Chinese embassy officials had been engaged in the visit’s preparations for weeks. However; the political situation in Islamabad had raised some concerns that led to the postponement of the visit in consultations of the both countries.
“The visit will take place on agreed dates,” the diplomatic sources went on to say.

عمران خان پاکستان کے ان سیاسی قائدین میں ہیں جو اس خواہش کا کئی بار بر ملا اعلان کرچکے ہیں کہ ” سیاسی و انتظامی لحاظ سے کرپٹ سسٹم کی تبدیلی ، جاگیردارانہ ، سرمایہ دارانہ نظام سے نجات کے ذریعے ملک کو قائد اعظم کا حقیقی پاکستان بنائینگے۔یہ خواہش اور تمنا کچھ غلط بھی نہیں،تحریک پاکستان کے کئی لاکھ نامعلوم افراد نے اس ہی آرزو کی تکمیل کیلئے لازوال قربانیاں دیں۔جنہیں مورخ تاحال مختلف زوایوں سے رقم کررہا ہے۔18برس کی سیاست ، خدمت ، محنت اور قائد اعظم کے پاکستان کی تعمیر کے جذبے کی لاج رکھتے ہوئے 77لاکھ پاکستانیوں نے انہیں ووٹ دے کر اسمبلیوں میں بھیجااور امید باندھی کے اب کچھ اچھا ہوگا،لیکن کیا ہوا؟۔سول نافرمانی کی تحریک برآمد ہوئی۔یقینا پاکستانی اب خوش ہونگے کہ نیا پاکستان بن گیا،جس میں ٹیکس دینا پڑے گا اور نہ ہی بجلی و گیس کا بل ، کسی بھی کمیونیکشن کمپنی کا 100روپے کا کارڈ لے لو یا پھر کوئی بھی چیز اس پر جی ایس ٹی معاف ہونے کا اعلان گزشتہ رات عمران خان نے کردیا ہے۔آج سے اس” نئے قانون“کا اطلاق بھی ہوگیا ہوگا،اور اگر کوئی دکاندار یا کمپنی والا آپ کو پی ٹی آئی قائد کے اعلان کے مطابق چیزیں ٹیکس کاٹ کر فراہم نہیں کررہا ہے تو اس کی شکایت آپ عمران خان سے لالہ لئی میں کرسکتے ہیں۔ اور وہ اسلام آباد سے قافلہ اس دکاندار کی جانب موڑ دینگے، اور پھر سمجھو نواز شریف کی طرح اس دکاندار یا کمپنی کی بھی شامت آگئی ۔اس گفتگو سے بھی عمران کا اعلان واضح نہ ہوا ہو تو آپ سعادت حسن منٹو کا افسانہ ” نیا قانون“ کے ”منگو کوچوان“کا حال بھی پڑ ھ سکتے ہیں،کیونکہ ایسا ہی کچھ پی ٹی آئی کارکنان اور قیادت کے ساتھ بھی ہونے والا ہے۔میں تو یہ بھی سوچ رہا ہوں کہ یہ وہی پی ٹی آئی ہے جس نے چند ماہ قبل ہی بلال ہاﺅس کی حفاظت کیلئے تعمیر ناجائز دیوار کے خلاف ہنگامہ برپا کردیا تھا ۔اور اب خود کس جائز کام کی بنیاد رکھ رہی ہے ۔ چلیں چھوڑیں۔عمران خان کے اس اعلان کے بعد یہ تو واضح ہوگیا کہ وہ قائد اعظم ؒ کے نہیں بلکہ گاندھی جی کے آدھے پیروکار ہوگئے ہیں۔آپ پوچھیں گے وہ کیسے تو بات عرض ہے کہ قائداعظم نے اپنی پوری سیاست قانون اور آئین کے دائرہ کار میں لڑی اور سرخ رو ہوئے جبکہ گاندھی جی نے انگریز سامراج کے خلاف سول نافرمانی کی تحریک بھی چلائی اورعدم تشدد کا اعلان بھی کیا۔اب عمران خان نے گاندھی جی کی پیروی کرتے ہوئے سول نافرمانی کا اعلان تو کردیا ہے مگر ساتھ یہ بھی کہہ بیٹھے ڈیڈ لائن ختم ہونے کے بعد میں کارکنان کے درمیان سے ہٹ جاﺅنگا، اور انہیں سب کچھ کر گزرنے کی آزادی دیدی جائے گی۔
اس ساری جدوجہد کے بعد میں ان سیاسی پرندوں کو سلام پیش کرتا ہوں جو دوسری جماعتوں سے اڑ کر پی ٹی آئی کا حصہ بنے اور عمران خان کو سیاسی خود کشی سے بھی آگے لے گئے ہیں،سول نافرمانی کے اس اعلان کے بعد حکومت گرے نہ گرے عمران خان کی قائداعظم کے نام پر برپا سیاست کا خاتمہ ہوگیا۔اگر میری اس بات سے عمران کے پروانے اور دیوانے ناراض نہ ہوں تو میں کچھ یوں بھی کہی جاسکتی ہے ،الیکشن نظام انقلابی تبدیلی کے سوا عمران کے سارے مطالبے غلط ہیں۔ہم ان ہی سطور میں کئی بار یہ لکھ چکے ہیں سسٹم کی بہتری کا راستہ سسٹم سے ہو کر ہی گزرتا ہے۔ورنہ بندے اکھٹے کر حکومت کی تبدیلی کی کوششوں سے مستقبل میں عمران خان کی پارٹی کی حکومت بھی نا بچے گی ۔ اس لئے عمران خان سے گزارش ہے کہ وہ بولنے ، چلنے اور ہلنے میںکافی احتیاط سے کام لیں ،ورنہ اب تک اگر انہوں نے واپسی کے 50دروازے بند کیے ہیں تو باقی 50بھی بند نہ کر بیٹھیں اور پورا پاکستان ان کے خدمت ، محنت اور ایمانداری کو سیاسی بے وقوفی سے تعبیر نہ دینے لگیں ۔عمران خان آپ کے پاس بھی حکومت کی طرح اب چند گھنٹے ہی ہیں۔سنبھل جائیں

کمال کے آدمی ہیں ۔ ان کے قادرالکلام ہونے میں تو کوئی کلام پہلے سے نہیں تھالیکن اب معلوم ہوا کہ وہ کمال کی حد تک صاحبِ’’کرامات‘‘ بھی ہیں۔ انہوں نے بعض طاقتور اداروں اور ان کے ذریعے میڈیا کو اپنے لئے خوب استعمال کیا‘ عمران خان سے لے کر الطاف حسین تک اور سراج الحق سے لے کر چوہدری شجاعت حسین تک کو اپنے حق میں بیان بازی پر اکسایا ۔ دوماہ تک ملک کو یرغمال بنائے رکھا اور حکومت کو تگنی کاناچ نچا کر اب آرام سے سب کو لاجواب کرکے وہ بڑے سکون اور روایتی تز ک و احتشام کے ساتھ روبہ مغرب روانہ ہوگئے۔ عیدقربان کے موقع پر ان کے کزن نے ان سے درخواست کی کہ وہ انہیں ڈی چوک میں اکیلا چھوڑ کر نہ جائیں تو علامہ صاحب غضبناک ہوگئے۔ خان صاحب کو مخاطب کرتے ہوئے انہوں نے کہا کہ خان صاحب ! بے وفائی آپ کررہے ہیں ۔ لندن میں طے ہوا تھا کہ دھرنے کی تاریخ کا اعلان اکٹھے کیا جائے گا لیکن آپ نے ہیرو بننے کے لئے بہاولپور کے جلسے میں ازخود جلسے کا اعلان کیا۔ لندن میں یہ بھی طے ہوا تھا کہ ہم لاہور سے اکٹھے نکلیں گے لیکن آپ میری ہمسفری پر شرمارہے تھے اور الگ روانہ ہوگئے۔ اسلام آباد پہنچنے پر مجھے آگے کیا اور خود پیچھے پیچھے آتے رہے تاکہ گولی اور ڈنڈے کا سامنا مجھے او رمیرے لوگوں کو ہی کرنا پڑے۔ آپ نے دعویٰ کیا تھا کہ آپ آگے ہوں گے اور پہلی گولی آپ کھائیں گے لیکن آبپارہ سے ڈی چوک جاتے ہوئے آپ لوگوں نے ہمیں آگے کیا اور خود سکون سے پیچھے پیچھے آتے رہے ۔ ڈی چوک پر شاہراہ دستور ہم سے بند کروایا اور خود پیچھے سکون سے بیٹھ گئے ۔وزیراعظم ہائوس اور پارلیمنٹ ہائوس میں گھسنے کا فیصلہ ہوا تو پھر میں اور میرے لوگ آگے تھے ۔ اس روز میرے درجنوں لوگ زخمی اور کئی شہید ہوئے لیکن آپ مجھے بتائیں کہ آپ کے کس لیڈر یا کارکن نے گولی کھائی۔ پھر جب میرے لوگ پی ٹی وی میں گھس گئے تو آپ نے اس سے اپنے آپ کو لاتعلق کردیا حالانکہ وہ بھی اسکرپٹ کا حصہ تھا۔ دھرنے کی تعریف یہ ہے اور طے بھی یہ ہوا تھا کہ مستقل یہاں بیٹھیں گے لیکن آپ اور آپ کے لوگوں سے سختی برداشت نہیں ہوسکتی تھی اس لئے آپ نے پہلی رات ‘کارکنوں کوگھر چلے جانے اور اگلے روز پھر شام کواکٹھے ہونے کی ہدایت دی۔ آپ اپنے بنی گالہ کے محل میں جاتے یا پھر جہازوں میں ٖپھرتے رہے جبکہ میں مستقل کینٹنر میں قید رہا ۔ آپ کے لوگ ایک گھنٹے کے لئے شام کو چند سو یا چند ہزار کی تعداد میں اکھٹے ہوتے اور پھر اپنے اپنے گھروں یا ہوٹلوں کو چلے جاتے جبکہ میرے لوگ آپ کے سامنے مررہے ہیں ۔ آپ ذرا کینٹینر سے نیچے اتر کر میرے لوگوں کی حالت دیکھیں ۔ درجنوں مر گئے ۔ سینکڑوں بیمار ہیں ۔ یہ سب غریب گھروں کے لوگ ہیں اور ان کے گھروں میں فاقے ہورہے ہیں۔ میں مزید ان کے ساتھ یہ ظلم روا نہیں رکھ سکتا ۔ یہاں ان کے کھانے پینے پر روزانہ کروڑوں روپے خرچ ہوتے ہیں ۔ آپ کے ہاں یہ خرچہ نہیں ہے اور جب شام کو کبھی آپ کی حاضری بہت کم ہوتی ہے تو میرے لوگ آپ کی حاضری کو برابر کرلیتے ہیں ۔ یہ کھری کھری سن کر خان صاحب لاجواب ہوگئے اور ٹھیک ہے علامہ صاحب آپ کی مرضی ہے ‘ کہہ کر اپنے کنٹینر کی طرف چل دئیے۔ چوہدری صاحبان چونکہ اوپر والوں کا پیغام پہنچاتے اور روزانہ دس بارہ لاکھ روپے دھرنا دینے والوں کے کھانے پر خرچ کررہے تھے ‘ اس لئے وہ علامہ صاحب کے پاس پہنچے اور دھرنا جاری رکھنے کی درخواست کی ۔ چوہدری صاحب نے علامہ صاحب کو سمجھانے کی کوشش کی کہ اگر انہوں نے دھرنا ختم کیا تو بڑی بے عزتی ہوجائے گی۔ علامہ صاحب نے چوہدری برادران کو قہر آلو نظروں سے دیکھا اور فرمایا کہ چوہدری صاحب !آپ لوگ تو چند منٹ کے لئے چہرہ نمائی کی خاطر کینٹیر پر آجاتے ہیں۔ آپ لوگوں کو کیا پتہ کہ مجھ پر اور میرے لوگوں پر کیا گزر رہی ہے ۔میں دیوالیہ ہورہا ہوں۔ آپ روٹی شوٹی کے لئے روزانہ جو چند لاکھ روپے دیتے ہیں ‘ اس سے تو چند سو لوگوں کا خرچہ بھی پورا نہیں ہوتا۔ میں نے کئی بار درخواست کی لیکن آپ سب اتحادی جماعتیں مل کر ایک ہزار لوگ بھی نہ لاسکے ۔ چلو آج کے بعد آپ اپنی جماعت کے ایک ہزار لوگوں کو لاکر میرے دھرنے میں شامل کرادیںتو میں دھرنا ختم نہیں کرتا ۔ علامہ صاحب کا یہ کھرا جواب سن کر چوہدری صاحبان ‘ ’’ٹھیک ہے ۔ علامہ صاحب تاڈی مرضی ہے ‘ ‘کہہ کر اور سر جھکا کر گرفتہ دل کے ساتھ رخصت ہوگئے۔ پھر ان اینکرز اور کالم نگاروں کو آگے کیا گیا جن کو پچھلے تین ماہ کے دوران علامہ صاحب اور خان صاحب کو گرماکر شاباش دینے اور جمہوریت کو گالم گلوچ سے نوازنے پر مامور کیا گیا تھا۔ انہوں نے علامہ صاحب کو طعنے دینے شروع کئے لیکن پلٹ کر علامہ صاحب نے ان کو لفافہ صحافی کا خطاب دے کر انہیں بھی خاموش کردیا۔ چنانچہ اپنے دو جانشین شہزادے‘ جنہیں دھرنوں کے دوران علامہ صاحب نے بیرون ملک بھجوادیا تھا‘ کو ملک واپس بلاکر‘اپنے کارندوں کا مہار ان کے ہاتھ میں تھما کر اور دھرنے کی برکات سمیٹ کر علامہ صاحب برطانیہ اور امریکہ کے لئے روانہ ہوگئے۔
وہ وہاں کے منصوبہ سازوں کے ساتھ اب کوئی نیا منصوبہ بنائیں گے ۔ پھر جس وقت ان کا جی چاہے گا وہ ایک بار پھر کسی نئے منصوبے کے ساتھ چند ماہ کے دورے پر آجائیں گے۔ علامہ صاحب پچھلی مرتبہ زرداری حکومت کو گرانے کا دعویٰ کرکے اور اب کے بار میاں نوازشریف کو گھربھجوانے اور نظام بدلوانے کے نعرے کے ساتھ میدان میں اترے تھے لیکن پچھلی بار وہ اس حکومت کو گرائے اور اب کے بار میاں صاحب سے استعفیٰ دلوائے بغیر واپس روانہ ہوگئے ۔ اپنی ذات کے لئے انہوں نے حسبِ’’ منشا‘‘ برکات ضرور سمیٹ لیں اور یقینا گنڈا پور جیسے کارندوں کو بھی ان میں برکات میں سے حسب ’’منشا‘‘ حصہ دیا ہوگا لیکن سوال یہ ہے کہ یہ جو ان کے درجنوں اور ان کے بقول سینکڑوں کارکن شہید ہوئے‘ یہ جو ایس پی سمیت سینکڑوں پولیس اہلکار زخمی ہوئے‘ یہ جو ملکی معیشت کو کھربوں روپے کا ٹیکہ لگا‘ یہ جو سرکاری ٹی وی پر میں گھسنے اور پارلیمنٹ کی بے حرمتی سے پوری دنیا میں پاکستان کی سبکی ہوئی‘ یہ جو چین کے صدر سمیت کئی ممالک کے سربراہان کے دورے منسوخ ہوئے ‘ یہ جو وزیرستان اور بلوچستان میں قربانیاں دینے والے فوجی جوانوں کی قربانیوں سے توجہ دوسری طرف ہوگئی ‘ یہ جو دس لاکھ بے گھر ہونے والے وزیرستان کے متاثرین سے ٹی وی کیمروں کا رخ دوسری طرف مڑ گیا ‘ یہ جو سیاست میں گالم گلوچ کا کلچر عام ہوگیا‘ یہ جو عدلیہ اور پارلیمنٹ جیسے اداروں کو بے وقعت کرنے کی کوششیں ہوئیں ‘ یہ جو فوج اور سویلین قیادت کے درمیان تنائو مزید بڑھ گیا ‘ یہ جو پولیس اور سیکورٹی اداروں کے ہزاروں اہلکار عوام کے جان و مال کے تحفظ کی بجائے کئی ماہ سے دھرنوں میں پھنسے رہے ‘ یہ جو اسلام آباد کے شہریوں کا جینا حرام رہا اور یہ جو یہاں کے تاجروں کا کاروبار ٹھپ رہا ‘ ان سب نقصانات کی تلافی کیسے ہوگی‘ کس سے ہوگی اور ان کا حساب کس سے لیا جائے گا؟۔ کیا علامہ صاحب کے ڈرامے کے پروڈیوسروں‘ ان کی حمایت میں رطب السان اینکرز ‘ ان کے حق میں ہزاروں صفحات سیاہ کرنے والے لکھاریوں یا پھر ان کے کزن عمران خان صاحب کے پاس اس سوال کا جواب ہے ؟ نہیں تو کیا ان کافرض نہیں بنتا کہ اخلاقی جرات کا مظاہرہ کرتے ہوئے ‘ یہ لوگ اپنی غلطی کا اعتراف کرکے قوم سے معافی مانگیں؟

ISLAMABAD: The Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Pervez Rashid, said on Saturday that key leaders of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) had abandoned their own ‘civil disobedience movement’ and had been paying taxes and utility bills regularly.
Talking to Dawn, he said PTI chairman Imran Khan and his deputy Shah Mehmood Qureshi had once again paid the electricity bills of their residences in Lahore and Multan.
“Today Shah Mehmood Qureshi Sahab paid six bills amounting to about Rs100,000 in Multan, whereas Imran Khan has already paid the electricity bills of his Zaman Park residence in Lahore,” Mr Rashid said.
Mr Khan, who had given the call for civil disobedience on Aug 18, asking people not to pay taxes and utility bills to force the government to accept PTI’s demands, last month had paid the electricity bills of his Bani Gala residence in Islamabad.
During a speech from atop his container to the participants of his party’s sit-in at D-Chowk in Islamabad on Sept 19, Mr Khan had publicly burnt the electricity bill.
The PTI chief confirmed payment of the bills of his residence in Lahore, but claimed that it had been paid by his brother-in-law who had nothing to do with his party.
“My sister lives in the Zaman Park house in Lahore. Her husband Hafeezullah Niazi has nothing to do with the PTI,” Mr Khan tweeted.
When contacted, Mr Qureshi neither confirmed nor denied the minister’s claim.
“I am in Sindh right now. If the minister is saying that, he would know better,” he said while talking to this reporter by telephone.
Meanwhile, the information minister claimed that Mr Khan was telling a lie by disowning the Lahore residence from where he had started his long march to Islamabad last month.
He also claimed that Mr Khan’s sister had not been living in the house for the past three months after development of differences between her husband and Mr Khan.
The minister said that other PTI leaders had also abandoned the ‘civil disobedience movement’.
He said PTI secretary general Jahangir Tareen had been regularly paying taxes on the products of his factory.
Similarly, former foreign minister Khurshid Kasuri and his family members had also been paying utility bills on a regular basis because not a single branch of his school’s countrywide network had so far been closed due to non-payment of taxes, he said.
“Imran Khan has deceived his party’s workers by paying electricity bills of his Zaman Park residence,” he said and alleged that the PTI leader had burnt “a fake electricity bill” in Islamabad.
Mr Rashid urged Mr Khan to shun the “policy of duplicity” and “double standards in politics”.
Last month, Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Asif had disclosed that two electricity bills of Rs17,000 and Rs13,000 of Mr Khan’s Bani Gala residence had been paid.

Boar becomes casualty of revolution

Islamabad - A wild boar faced the wrath of supporters of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri on Tuesday morning when they captured the animal near the Parliament House, brutally thrashed it with sticks, tied it with cables and wrote “go Nawaz go” on its body in a distasteful form of political protest.
Islamabad is no stranger to wild boars, often seem roaming the roads near the hills late in the nights - and sometimes the cause of accidents. But the sight of a boar during daytime is rare. Boars are considered impure according to Islamic injunctions.
Around 11:00am on Tuesday, the wild boar emerged on the Constitution Avenue and immediately set off an enraged fury amongst the followers of the cleric. It was caught within seconds and then dragged through the street as a jubilant crowd shouted and jeered the hunted animal.
A slogan against the prime minister was inscribed on the thick hairy skin before the boar was subjected to a slow, painful death, sticks raining down on it in quick succession. By doing so, Qadri’s workers not only exhibited a disturbing form of violence against a defenceless animal. The boar did not survive the torture, and died surrounded by a crowd of protestors celebrating its agony.
Qadri, just like Imran Khan, is threatening the government that his workers can get out of his control and attack the government buildings and law enforcing officials. He has also threatened that his workers will collect all the looted money from them. He has never directly said that his workers might kill the prime minister and others among his cabinet but his language exhibits extreme hatred for the elected government. Some fear that the cleric’s followers might do something unexpected and unlawful as frustration with their lengthy and yet un-concluded protest sets in.
