ڈیرہ اسماعیل خان: پاکستان تحریک انصاف کے صوبائی وزیر علی امین گنڈا پور کے خلاف پولنگ عملے اور پولیس اہلکاروں پر تشدد اور فائرنگ کا مقدمہ درج کر لیا گیا ہے۔

ایکسپریس نیوز کے مطابق پی ٹی آئی کے صوبائی وزیر علی امین گنڈاپور اپنے محافظوں کے ہمرا ڈیرہ اسماعیل خان میں یو سی ہمت کے پولنگ اسٹیشن میں گھس گئے اور بیلٹ باکسز ساتھ لے جانے کی کوشش کی لیکن مقامی افراد نے ان کی گاڑی کا گھیراؤ کرلیا، مقامی افراد سے جان چھڑانے کیلئے علی امین گنڈاپور کے محافظوں نے فائرنگ کی جس کے نتیجے میں ایک خاتون زخمی ہوگئی، خاتون کے زخمی ہونے کے بعد مقامی افراد مزید مشتعل ہو گئے اور صوبائی وزیر کی گاڑی کے شیشے توڑ دیئے تاہم مقامی قبائلی افراد نے مداخلت کر کے مشتعل افراد کی جانب سے علی امین گنڈاپور کی گاڑی کو نذر آتش ہونے سے بچایا۔

واقعہ کی اطلاع ملتے ہی ڈپٹی کمشنر اور ڈی پی او موقع پر پہنچے اور 3 گھنٹے تک محصور رہنے والے علی امین گنڈا پور کو مشتعل مظاہرین کے ہجوم سے نکالا۔ ڈپٹی کمشنر کا کہنا ہے کہ الیکشن کمیشن کو تحریری اور زبانی طور پر صوبائی وزیر کے غیر قانونی اقدام کی شکایت کردی گئی ہے جب کہ علی امین گنڈا پور کے خلاف تھانہ صدر میں 2 مقدمات بھی درج ہو چکے ہیں۔ بیلٹ باکسز بھی ریٹرنگ افسران کو دوبارہ واپس کر دیئے گئے ہیں اور اگر بیلٹ باکسز کی سیل کھلی ہوئی تو اس صورت میں حلقے میں دوبارہ سے انتخابات ہوں گے، اگر بیلٹ باکسز کی سیل بند ہوئیں تو اس صورت میں صرف ووٹوں کی دوبارہ گنتی کی جائے گی۔

NA-71 by-election: ECP dismisses PTI's claim of rigging in Mianwali



LAHORE: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) dismissed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) claim that the by-election held in NA-71 Mianwali was rigged, Express News reported on Tuesday.
Last month, PTI had filed a petition with the ECP challenging the victory of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) Obaidullah Shadi Khel with claims of rigging in NA-71.
Obaidullah had won with 69,799 votes while Malik Waheed managed to attract 56,504.
PTI had accused the federal and Punjab governments of committing vote fraud in the constituency, submitting video recordings of allegedly rigged polling at different stations as evidence.
They had also claimed that their original candidate for NA-71 Ayla Malik, was kept out of the race through connivance with the Rawalpindi Board of Education, which raised objections to her degree.
Accusing the returning officer (RO) from NA-71, provincial government officials, ministers and members of provincial and the National Assembly of being complicit in the act, the PTI petition stated:
“The ECP should call upon inspection of record including ballot papers of by-elections besides getting the voters’ thumb impressions verified by NADRA.”
The ECP dismissed the rigging claims and while hearing another case regarding alleged rigging in NA-122, called in the PTI Chairman Imran Khan for recording a statement on November 12.

ABBOTABAD: The degree of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) Yousaf Ayub Khan has been declared fake, Express News reported on Friday.
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has declared him ineligible, and has ordered re-elections in PK-50.
Yousaf Ayub was Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) candidate in PK-50 Haripur-2, he was elected as a member of the provincial assembly in the 2013 general elections.
He won the PK-50 election with 35,117 votes and the runner up was Independent candidate Qazi Muhammad Asad Khan with 32,879 votes.
Ayub was also Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s (K-P) minister for communication and works.
Other cases of fake degrees
On September 24, former Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) MPA Bashir Ahmed was sentenced to two years in prison as his degree was found to be fake by a court in Badin. He was also fined Rs5,000.
Bashir Ahmed was a PPP member of parliament from PS-56 in the former Sindh government.
Previously, three elected legislators fell prey to fake degree cases in July, when the Supreme Court suspended the membership of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf parliamentarian Ghulam Sarwar Khan and de-notified the membership of two Punjab provincial assembly members for holding fake degrees.
The Supreme Court also declared Pakistan Muslim League – Quaid MPA Samina Khawar Hayat ineligible in July after she contested elections on a fake BBA degree.
