I wanted to choose a better name for this post but considering PTI supporters are most likely to turn a blind eye to all that I have to say, I’d much rather ramble than waste time trying be in order. Right up till the elections, I was a PTI supporter. I had my reservations, especially on their counter terrorism strategies, but they definitely seemed lesser of the evils. I made posters depicting PTI saving the day for Pakistan. I put up covers on my profiles reading Khan Is Hope. I defended PTI’s stance on several issues, tried to show why PTI is a better option than the rest. And then the great fall happened in Lahore, further strengthening my support for the party. Replay frequency of the InshAllah song increased. I thought when a person is giving in all he has for the country, we could at least give him a chance. Maybe his soft attitude towards the Taliban is just to avoid being a target. Maybe he’ll adopt a stronger position against militants once in power. Maybe PTI really is the savior we need.
2 months into PTI’s reign and it’s revealing its true colors, which btw, aren’t too different from the traditional other parties we have. And this is where the ramblings begin.
PTI’s stand against the Taliban has grown even weakerCM Khattak has been making some ridiculous statements when it comes to talking about terrorism. ‘We will give terrorists the respect they want’. I mean, are you fricking kidding me? Do you not realize the disrespect you’ve owed to thousands of their victims and their families with that statement right there? How desperately are you trying to save your ass from being blown up to say that people who kill should be respected? There’s an Urdu/Punjabi word that’s very fitting here, but I think I’ll get to use it later on in this write-up.
Sab drones ki galti hai
Drones are like the PTI version of a Yahoodi Sazish. Whatever happens, blame it on drones. Quetta mein kuch hua. Drones. Peshawar mein hua. Drones. Parachinar mein hua. Drones. Alright, I agree drones need to stop. There’s no question there. But, remember how passionately PTI blocked NATO supply routes in 2011 to protest against drones? What’s stopping them now? Ab tou poora sooba aapka hai. Jo chahay block karo. Kyun nai karte? This is something you have control over, and can definitely do. Aapko tou Taliban se bhi support aa jaye gi. Karo na phir. For the supporters crying on being denied a separate meeting with the COAS, what lame excuse do you have for this now? Jab sab hotay huay bhi kuch karna hee nahi hai, why would you want to waste everyone’s time with a meeting?
APC won’t achieve anything that’s why we’re boycotting itEhh. Acha. Where was this thought when IK nominated members to represent PTI in his absence? London mein khwab aayi thi ke APC mein kuch nahi hona? Such absurd steps are becoming a trademark of PTI. Also, since you believe APC was also held under the previous govt. and failed to achieve anything, why do you not apply the same reasoning to negotiations held under the previous government? Woh bhi tou fail hui theen na. I know what your usual reply will be to this, so let me address that too. Previous govt. was never sincere in wanting a solution. Tou iss bari tou aap bhi govt. ka hissa ho na. Jab negotiations iss dafa sincere ho sakti hein, tou aapke hote huay APC kyun nahi?
Military action didn’t achieve anything that’s why we want negotiations.
I think this statement calls for a major LOL. Yeh jo aap summers mein Swat jaa kar apni jeep ke saath pose maar ke, trousers uppar kar ke streams me khare ho kar, bagair dupatta liye DSLR photos le kar roz Facebook pe daalte ho na, military operation is to thank for this.
DI Khan jailbreak ki responsibility hamari nai haiKyun nai hai bhai? Last year when Bannu jailbreak happened, Imran Khan tweeted and blamed ANP for it. And he was perfectly right to do so. But why are you now asking to consider whether KPK govt. was given the info or not? Was this considered last year before IK pointed fingers at ANP? No. Stop creating different standards for yourselves. And stop blaming previous governments too. People in the last tenure did that and look where it got us.
This is not our warI don’t understand what history had to do with this. It becomes our war the moment they blow up a market full of people right before iftar. If tomorrow someone harms you or your family, will you sit down and ponder over their family history? Certainly not. Also, if you’re looking at Taliban through history, I’ll make an equally stupid comparison. Kashmir was never an issue before the British came. By your logic we should just sit back and leave Kashmir saying it’s not our war, and let Britain take care of it. I know how lame I sound here, but I’m just applying your own theory to this.
Why are you focusing at one thing? Look at the other work we’re doing
Like, your promise of ending corruption in 90 days? Well, guess what? We’re 60 days in and you’ve allotted party tickets for by-elections to fake degree holders. Not only that, your party chairman is even defending the candidate and pointing fingers at the judiciary for being biased.

For the record, not supporting PTI does NOT equate to me being a PML-N supporter. They’re in bed with sectarian outfits, and there’s absolutely no way I’ll support such an ideology. There’s a lot more that has disappointed me, like continuation of family politics, lack of coordination among party members on blasphemy issues, and most of all, PTI trolls who ridicule others for things their own party is guilty of doing, but this is all I have to say for now. Remember there’s a fine line between being hopeful and being delusional, be very clear about what side you’re standing on.
P.S. I didn’t get to use that Urdu word. It’s called Chukna.
