LAHORE: All opposition parties in
Punjab will joint fight against the ruling party Pakistan Muslim League
Nawaz in upcoming local bodies polls.
In a joint meeting, the leaders of
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Pakistan Muslim League-Q, Pakistan
Peoples Party and Jamaat e Islami say that they would adopt a joint
strategy against PML-N.
After the meeting, PPP’s Manzor Watto,
JI’s Amir ul Azeem, PTI’s Ejaz Chaudhry and Khaursheed Kasuri made the
joint statement over the issue.
They say that they would not tolerate non-party based elections at local bodies level.
The leaders from all political parties
agreed to expand cooperation and seat adjustment during the upcoming
local government election across Punjab province.
Moreover, the coalition parties accepted to refer the court over the controversial decision taken by the provincial government.
